Hemeti, Kiir discuss bilateral ties, peace with SPLM-N

July 27th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Sudan’s deputy head of ruling Transitional Military Council (TMC) Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (aka Hemeti) and South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardiit met in Juba on Saturday and discussed bilateral ties and peace with SPLM-N led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, according to South Sudan’s Presidency.

Early, Sudan’s state-ran Sudan News Agency (SUNA) said the deputy head of military junta would meet President Salva and a team from the SPLM-N Hilu.

“The deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Military Council (TMC) Lieutenant General Mohammad Hamdan Daglo Hemeti arrived in Juba on Saturday morning accompanied by Chairman of the Political Committee and spokesman of the Transitional Military Council, First Lieutenant Shamseddine Kabbashi, as well as members of the forces of freedom and change,” the presidency said in a statement.

“He met with President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the Presidential Palace in Juba, in the presence of the President’s Advisor for Security Affairs Tut KhatlouSudanese Vice President of the transitional military junta, Lieutenant General Mohammad Hamdan Diklu Hamdati arrived in Juba on Saturday morning accompanied by Chairman of the Political Committee and spokesman of the Transitional Military Council, First Lieutenant Shamseddine Kabbashi, as well as members of the forces of freedom and change,” the belief statement said.

The meeting according to the presidency statement was attended by the President’s Advisor for Security Affairs Tut Gatluak Manemi and the Minister in the Office of the President of the Republic, Miyiik Ayii Deng.
