August 25, 2021—The followers of the controversial preacher who has been in a police custody since early July are demanding his release.
A self-proclaimed Prophet known as Abraham Cush son of God, the son of Adam, was arrested on 9th of July 2021 by South Sudan Police Service (SSPS) following his false prophecy that President Kiir and First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar would no longer stay in power on 10th Independence Anniversary day claiming that the nation would receive new leaders according to his divinity.
Police spokesperson Daniel Justin confirmed that Chol is languishing behind bars at the Juba Central Prison, saying he will go for trial after a psych test that will examine his mental fitness to stand a trial.,
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Chol’s cousin, Philip Deng who refers to Abraham Chol as “the King of Cush”, says the preacher should be given a chance to defend himself in the court.
“He is a man of God but what thing is so disappointing is how he is being mistreated which is humiliation and he is a high profiled person he is a head of the church and there should be a protocol immunity for him now he is in prison and no body talk about him “, Philip Deng said.
Many of his followers who came from Egypt, Kenya and Uganda are very concerned for his health condition claiming that the Cush International Church without its leader is like a “soup without salt”.
Abraham Chol Akech was arrested at night on July 9, 2021 by South Sudan police Service for provoking the leaders with prophecy he claimed to mark the last day of president Kiir and his First Vice President Machar from helm of South Sudan political power.
