March23, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — If you build a house with cracks, water will get in and once it expands, it breaks apart and fall. This describes the so called new R-TGONU. The government, the politicians and the organized forces have no backbones. Just like worms with no direction.
What is the difference between sex workers, our politicians and the organized forces? None! They all choose to run after money. We have so many examples to support this, don’t we? History has shown our politicians, the army officers and the untitled army have moved to and fro throughout the movement and still on move. Is this a foundation of a stable government we wish to have?
It is worth perhaps to remind ourselves that for any peace and stable government, starts with organized forces in the country. To start with in our case, I was very much disappointed when I saw pictures of those supposedly to be the next regular army for the country at the training camps. They were not only emaciated but most looked like children who have never seen the blackboard before. Don’t we have basic criteria for selection? Are we forming temporary forces?
Dear countryman, a bend foundation is difficult to correct than carefully and slowly building a concrete one. Tribally balanced forces, educated and capable to conduct independent researches, an army that defends a nation not a section of the nation, and an army that knows the value of life and that the public pays for their wages should always be in our minds.
I strongly agreed with Mobior Garang’s concern over the Security Arrangements. Having followed him in all his writings and speeches, we are really far from the start of our journey to forming a healthy country for all. The present R-TGONU is just a recycle of the old. It will be a dream to see any change. But Mobior, I know you are disappointed as I am and maybe a few more but I suggest you hold on there for a while maybe as a magnifying glass for the rest. It is a time bomb to form a government the army that has value to the nation.
What has gone wrong with us that we always go back to our vomit? Have we not learnt enough in our past? I noticed no day passes without people talking about the root causes of our problems but we continued to take a death ear. Where will this lead us? Paul Malong, Thomas Cirilo and some of the holdout are still out there and ignoring them is still a recipe to igniting another war. Can’t we learn to do things for the interest of every citizen than to hold to the government driven for money? Remember, the grave accommodates both the rich and the poor without particular preference, where do you then go with the money you accumulate from people’s account?
Every day I am not only shocked, hurt and disappointed when I remember Kiir’s claim to have apologized to the South Sudanese people for the damages he caused over the years yet he brought back his brats who greatly contributed in misleading him throughout the war. What changes can they make now that they have not done before? What Kiir is doing reminds me of a book I read while in a high school, by title, “When God made the Sudan, he laughed”. It didn’t make sense to me then than it does now. I agree with some of the contents of the book when I see what is happening now. We have allowed the world to laugh at us for stupid things we have done and still doing.
