May 26, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— It is unarguably true that the faction of the transitional government under Salva Kiir and his cohorts are not for peace instead, they are doing all that is at their disposal to ensure this unity government does not go forward.

Chronically, peace pact was initially inked in August 2015, president Salva Kiir however refused to sign on that very date Dr. Machar signed citing what he termed as “reservations”. Those reservations were however better known to him and his cronies. Analysts and observers speculated and interpreted the former government’s reservations differently though little was actually uncovered about them.

Hence, those reservations continued to delay the formation of the transitional government which was to be formed within sixty days of the agreement that however met a sharp rejection, twists and all sort of fences meant to wipeout the whole peace process.

Unilateral controversial degree creating 28 unconstitutional states and military offensive on the opposition’s positions quickly ensued government’s failed attempts to do away with any form of bringing peace in South Sudan. These attempts too mysteriously failed except that of 28 states which has remained one of the most sticking issues.

Dr. Riek Machar’s arrival in Juba was also met with a number of sharp resistances by the immediate former government which felt, their corrupt way of running the country was threatened by opposition’s reform programs. Despite all they tried to prevent Dr. Riek from arriving in Juba, the opposition eventually prevailed and Dr. Riek safely arrived.

Transitional government of national unity was subsequently formed upon Dr. Riek’s arrival and his immediate swearing in last month. However, forces which signed the peace under what I call “duress” by international partners are doing all they can to ensure they derail the unity government by all means.

A week ago, vice president James Wani led a petty team to Nairobi, Kenya where they called what was supposed to have been an interactive meeting with South Sudanese, to our surprise, the dictatorship of Kiir’s side of the unity government clearly played out at Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) when non other than VP himself openly rubbished placates by groups of civil society and students calling for reversal of 28 unconstitutional states, rejection for South Sudan to join East African Economic bloc and honest implementation of peace agreement.

The placates also showed on their writings that “make peace rally in South Sudan and not in Kenya, we (South Sudanese) in Kenya are not fighting, unite our people in back at home and not in diasporas.” Mr. Igga however opted not to answer what he saw and instead talked things which did not make sense at all.

Moreover, the peace team seemed to have had issues times earlier before their arrival to the venue that was clearly shown by diverging speeches they gave at the meeting, Hon. Taban spoke what was honestly the sweetest speech in the meeting, his brief speech was what South Sudanese expected of the whole team, unfortunately, VP was more of comedy than being a serious leading speaker.

As Hon. Taban dueled on the peace agreement booklet, urging his An interactive, peace or any kind of meeting is where leaders are suppose to open and share the topic for their audience to give its views. The purported peace team instead closed the well attended meeting with only three speakers namely, Akol Paul, Gen. Taban Deng and the VP himself, Wani Igga.

community to read and understand it, forgive one another, reconcile and support peace to be implemented as it is, Igga on the other hand showed skepticism on some issues, urging South Sudanese to be patient even as the challenges obstruct the road to peace.

I wonder how a very senior government official can acknowledge eminent challenges ahead of the implementation that could be the reason he avoided interactive meeting conversation (questioning by the audience) and abruptly ended the meeting.

Now, the latest and the biggest surprise is Wani’s latest call for the army to be on high alert, “Comrades, you should always wash your face like the Kachipo. The Kachipo do not cover both eyes like we do when washing our faces. They first wash one eye while using the other one to see and guard against any attacker around them,” Vice President Igga told the forces who responded by singing war songs in Dinka language.

Also, the newly appointed presidential adviser on Military Affairs, General Daniel Awet Akot, who accompanied the Vice President to the military base, congratulated the Tiger Division for a “job well done” in fighting the war against the opposition faction of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement (SPLM-IO) led by the current First Vice President, Riek Machar.

This is a serious and absurd statement a government official had to say during this hard time when the nation starts healing from the just ended war, this dangerous statement should be investigated if we were in a country which had reliable security and legal institutions.

Other parties too must be on high alert, we (South Sudanese) must not downplay this statement as it is truly developing agenda of the Kiir’s faction, it was once puffed out by Mr. Lul Ruai, another senior Salva Kiir official and now, the 2nd Vice President, Wani Igga. Let us not ignore this double bursted secret.

God Bless the Federal Democratic Republic of Sudan.
