February 4th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, led by the former First Vice-President, Dr. Riek Machar, condemned on Monday what it called “malicious” propaganda by the holdout opposition group, the National Salvation Front (NAS) led by the Gen. Thomas Cirilo.

Unlike NAS, Machar’s SPLM-IO signed in September last year a revitalized peace agreement with President Salva Kiir Mayardiit to end the ongoing civil war.

The agreement also included other political groups such as the other political parties in Juba, the Former Detainees (FDs) as well as the opposition umbrella known as South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) led by Changson Lew Chang.

On Saturday, Cirilo’s NAS accused the SPLA-IO and South Sudan army of caring out joint military offensive on its positions in the country’s Yei River buy generic propecia 1mg state.

In respond, a spokesman for the SPLM-IO governor of Yei River State, Wayi Godwill Edward, issued a statement this morning denying any involvement in the said offensive.

“The NAS-TC alleged that SPLA (IO) in support of the regime carried out dry season offensive against their base in Kajo-Keji. We would want to tell our people in the state and beyond that, this is a mere lie, nonsensical and misleading information aimed at diverting the commitment of our people from the R-ARCSS and derailing its progress,” partly read the statement seen by the Nyamilepedia.

“We want to reiterate our sole commitment to achieve durable peace and development through the revitalized peace agreement. Our people bore the brunt of the war and there is no any justification for continuation of the destructive war,” the statement added.
