Oct 4, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s foreign affair minister, Marial Benjamin, has traveled to Cairo to arrange for Salva Kiir’s visit to Arab Republic of Egypt.

Dr. Marial has met the Egyptian Foreign Affair Minister, Sameh Shukry. According to Badr Abdelati, the Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the counterparts revisited cooperate agreements between the two countries.

Badr Abdelati said in a news statement that the foreign ministers discussed economics, politics, trade, agriculture, educational and military supports.

While Egypt sees potentials to contribute to South Sudan through development, South Sudan sees potentials to benefit from the vast military power that the Arab Republic has consolidated for nearly a century.

Badr further revealed that the counterparts also discussed water security and cooperation among River Nile countries, however, the final steps are expected to be sealed by the two presidents when they meet in the near future, maybe next week.

According to Dr. Marial the South Sudan leader, Salva Kiir, was invited to visit Egypt last week in New York on a sideline during the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

South Sudan defense minister, Kuol Manyang Juuk and Marial Benjamin have visited the country a few times to negotiate military intervention and bilateral relations.

Dr. Marial has also met Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby to forge ways into Arab development and investment role in the war-torn South Sudan.

Mr. Benjamin also briefed Al-Araby on the ongoing corporations between Egypt and South Sudan as the world’s newest nation seeks new avenues to build ties with the Arab nations.

Marial said that the cooperate deals between Arab countries and South Sudan will include roads, agriculture, communications, infrastructure, tourism, electricity, military, and water security.
