December 23rd 2018 (Nyamilepedia) -Members of the Former Detainees calling themselves “SPLM Leaders” on Saturday returned to the capital Juba after more-than two years in exile since the collapse of the 2015 peace deal following fighting at the Presidential Palace J1 in July 2016 between guards loyal to President Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar, then First Vice President.

The team of the SPLM-FDs was led by Rebecca Garang, wife of the founder of the ruling and fractured Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) who urged the people of South Sudan to forgive them as leaders.

Speaking to reporters upon arrival at Juba International Airport, Mama Rebecca said he and his team returned to Juba to join hand with President Salva Kiir in the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement signed in September by Kiir and Machar along with other opposition groups including the former detainees.

“We have come here to join the people of South Sudan so that we put our hands together and our heads together for peace,” Rebecca told reporters upon arrival at Juba International Airport. “Also we want to join President Salva Kiir Mayardiit so that we put our heads and our hearts ventolin cheap online together so that we can salvage whatever is there in the peace for the people of South Sudan.”

She further apologized to the people of South Sudan and  urged the people of South Sudan to give them another chance which she said might work.

“There is no leader without people and there are no people without the leader. So we are begging the people of South Sudan to give us another opportunity for three years so that we can lead them,” she said.

“I want to join hands with President Salva Kiir Mayardit to say we are very sorry as leaders of South Sudan, especially myself if there is anything that I have done wrong to the people of South Sudan, I want to say today that I am very sorry. I want to join hands with you and I appeal to the people of South Sudan to forgive us as leaders of South Sudan,” she added.
