Jan 17, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Latest reports from South Sudan’s oil rich Upper Nile state confirm that fighting has resumed this morning in oil rich Renk County of Upper Nile state.

According to Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, the military spokesperson for SPLA [in Opposition], fighting resumed in Renk County this morning at 11Am.

Contacted at about quarter to 2pm, East African Time, by Nyamilepedia’s Editorial Team, Brig.Gen. Lul said that the war was still ongoing, however, he reiterates that the SPLA-IO has an upper hand over the allied SPLA-Juba troops.

“The war started at 11Am but it is still ragging. As I stated on my social media, we are in communication with our generals at the frontline. We will constantly update the media as more news kick in” Brig. Gen. Lul told Nyamilepedia’s editorial team on phone.

Lul, on his social media, informs the gallant forces that the fierce battle was ragging at Omthelawich North East of oil rich Renk County, in northern Upper Nile State

“This is to inform our gallant forces in other fronts and supporters that fierce battle is ragging on at Omthelawich north east of oil rich Renk County, in northern Upper Nile State.” Brig. Gen. Lul stated.

“Our forces under overall command of Maj. Gen. James Koang Chuol, Commander of 1st Special Division have the upper hand. More updates will follow as soon as it filters in from the Field Commander” hee continued.

Attempts to reach the SPLA-Juba faction’s military spokesperson to verify the reports have failed.

South Sudan’s warring factions engaged in fierce battles last week in the neighboring Maban County. The two faction claim control of the strategic Maban County, however, the SPLA-IO forces reported withdrawing from the area.

Both Maban and Renk Counties are adjacent and strategic to oil-rich town of Paloich in Northern Upper Nile.

I believe Gen. CDR Jame koang will defeate that dictator force of Juba with in a minute in the Norhern eastern upper nile because those of government know him(Gen. koang) very well as he teaches them a lesson last year in Bentiu Unity State.

The fighting in the oil rich of Renk is actually a series blow to the government of a dictatorship regime of kiir Mayardit although the gallant forces of rebel under their direct command of Maj-Gen Koang Chuol are fighting Uganda troops and SPLA north that are indeed brought to finish the rebellion are definitely experiences a heavy lost of casualties.
therefore we will defeat them by any mean.
