July 22, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — The Government of the Republic of South Sudan led by President Salva Kiir has poorest relationship with the whole World because of her nepotism policies in the job opportunities and in the public services .

This youngest nation got independence in 2011. Shortly, the government established her embassies around the World. When the ambassadors to work in these foreign missions were appointed. It was not done on the merit of the qualification and expertise but it was based on nepotism.

When the ambassadors were appointed, the Government Ministers and the 24 SPLM political Bureau members met in hotel in Juba and each Minister and each Member gave the name of his or her brother or sister or any qualified relative or a friend to President Salva Kiir . President Kiir without any reservation or doubt, he appointed the ambassadors as recommended by his political allies in the government and in the SPLM party.

In 2013, President Kiir falls out with the 17 SPLM Political Bureau members who gave him the list of his ambassadors. President Kiir sacked these men in the government. These sacked government ministers began talking ill about the Government. The ambassadors in foreign capitals began talking ill about the government too.

Instead the ambassadors should speak as the representatives of the government; they were presenting the interest of their relatives who disagree with government as the interest of the government.

When the fighting broke out in Juba on December 15, fighting also broke out in the South Sudan embassies abroad. The ambassadors, who were recommended by either, those leading the rebellion or those who were detained were expressing their political divide rather than national foreign policy agenda/interest , they were saying there was’’ no coup ‘’.

From there the host country thought that ambassador is presenting national views while the ambassador has already taken side.If the ambassadors were appointed on merit, this diplomatic damage would have not happened because the ambassadors would have not known any other interest than the interest of the Government of South Sudan that appointed him or her.

South Sudan has a poorest diplomatic relationship with World, it is a good experience, so next time any government in Juba should not appoint ambassadors on recommendation from someone but on merit and experience of the work.
