My name is Hon. Moro Isaac Genesio, Minister for Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies, Central Equatoria State and Chairperson for South Sudan National Movement for Change (SSNMC), a constituent member of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).
I am very happy to be on this platform today to share with you all this message of peace, love, unity and encouragement.
First of all, I would like to acknowledge your unmatched level of endurance, resilience and determination you have shown throughout the past difficult years marked by untold agony, hunger, disease and loss of lives. All a result of the making of the few people who intends to reconstruct South Sudan as a tribal cave contrary to God’s beautiful creation of South Sudanese as harmonious, peace-loving, hospitable and culturally bonded people.
Despite all attempts to break your spirits and bonds through violence, abuse, displacements and destruction of your livelihoods and worse still; being befallen by unremedied natural calamities like fatal Covid19, famine and overwhelming floods, you have all stood tall to be still priding yourselves as South Sudanese carrying a believe of rebirth of new South Sudan at peace with itself, all people reunited amongst themselves once again and collectively embarking on a journey to prosperity. Congratulations!
As people whose hopes have been broken more and again by all circumstances mentioned above, I want to remind you all that the Revitalised-Agreement On The Resolution Of Conflict In South Sudan (R-ARCSS) provides us with well-framed roadmap to rebirth of those buried hopes, realisation of a new democratic, united, free, liveable and prosperous South Sudan if and only we implement it in letter and spirit. Inasmuch as the implementation process is being visibly marred by very many circumstances, we must remain committed to it and push through all the leaders and stakeholders to continue along the rebirth path of this New Nation.
The two steps recently taken like reconstitution of States Legislature (yet to be sworn-in) and dispatched committees to various Training Centres for screening and reorganisation of Unified Forces are commendable and I urge the Leaders to continue with this spirit and to redouble efforts for timely implementation of the remaining tasks as agreed upon in the Agreement.
Fellow South Sudanese, as we mark this year’s Christmas, let us use it as an opportunity to reflect our values and the difficult roots we have travelled to reach here today. This can greatly help reshape our hopes to become who we have lost in the past years of turmoil and broken spiritedness.
We must use this Christmas Festival to preach love, peace, forgiveness, reconciliations and unity amongst ourselves. This Christmas Festival also presents an opportunity for us to pray for our Nation, the sick, floods-affected people, IDPs, Refugees and everyone of us wherever we maybe across the World because the new year (2022) is a year of NATION REBIRTH and PROSPERITY.
While we mark this Christmas Festival and the new Year, we must all celebrate with care, love for one another and vigilance. Every historic event as such comes with a mixture of life circumstances and therefore, we must collectively take responsibility to guide ourselves against some negative circumstances which may come mixed with blessings.
Remember, we are celebrating and living beyond today. Please take care.
To SSNMC Family Worldwide, I want to recognise and appreciate you all for your resilience, steadfastness, love for one another, determination and bravery which has enabled you all overcome the toughest of moments we have faced in most recent history since the founding of this Party. I know our terrains have been impassable with piercing roadblocks put across by dark forces of nature but, I can assure you all that we are at the edge of registering a remarkable history and therefore, well-placed to realize the VISION, MISSION and OBJECTIVES upon which this People’s Party was founded.
This Christmas Festival should be another great opportunity to renew our energies, spirits and commitments because we are at the doorsteps to register VICTORY. Please remain on guard to safeguard the future of this Party and that of South Sudan because we are the future.
Lastly,  I am taking this opportunity to recognise and appreciate the tireless role played by International Community, IGAD, RJMEC, TROIKA, European Union, UNMISS and all friends of South Sudan throughout the dark years of unpromising journey. Had you not labored to put in this efforts, support and push, reaching this stage would have been impossible. It is hoped that this tireless efforts and support rendered to our Nation shall continue until we (South Sudanese) are able to stand and recognize ourselves as equal stakeholders of this country again and that the responsibility to deliver our Liberation promises lies solely upon us.
South Sudan National Movement for Change, being a constituent member of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) remains committed to the implementation of Revitalised-Agreement On The Resolution Of Conflict In South Sudan in letter and spirit.
On behalf of my family, SSNMC and myself, I am sending to you all love, peace, happiness and blessings.
Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year!
Best Regards,
Hon. Moro Isaac Genesio.
