June 1, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The Secretary-General condemns the Government of South Sudan’s decision to expel the United Nations Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General/ Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator of the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Toby Lanzer.

Mr. Lanzer has been instrumental in addressing the increasing humanitarian needs of conflict-affected communities in the country, and ensuring that life-saving humanitarian assistance reaches the most vulnerable. This has been necessary because of continuing violence by both parties in the absence of a comprehensive peace agreement.

The Secretary-General calls on the Government of South Sudan to reverse its decision immediately. He further urges the Government to cooperate fully with all United Nations entities present in South Sudan.

Mr. Lanzer was coming to the end of his term, and in order to ensure continuity for this critical function, the Secretary-General has already appointed his successor, whose nomination was announced on 29 May.

Expelling Mr Lanzer when his term has already ended is rather interesting.

Expelling Toby Lanzer is very clear and is not a national decision but a along campaign from Dinka elders (Jieng) and finally they achieved.
The Dinka elders attributed Toby Lanzer’s humanitarian’s work as providing support to the Nuers IDPs with food, medical care, water etc in the POCs and other inaccessible locations within south Sudan.
The question is, “is the Dinka elders(Jieng) the drivers of south Sudan or they are the decision makers for all national affairs?” This is not the first time they have instigated such (Third time now).
What is the relationship between the Dinka elders (Jieng) and humanitarians work in south Sudan?
Should every tribe form it’s forum of elders?

Toby Lanzer,
Was a true humanitarian and advocate for south Sudanese to get international humanitarian assistance. Hon. Awut Deng Acuil has been witch-hunting humanitarians in South Sudan since became acting Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, a job she has no idea about and which she believes she knows. This kind of attitude and work made her come at logger heads even with South Sudanese humanitarian agencies. She does not believe in humanitarian assistance at all. She believes that this makes people lazy, and yet she is always the first one to call for humanitarian internvention when her county, Tonj is flooded. She is such a incompetent and bully who only stays as Minister because of her personal relationship with Kiir. We can’t wait for her to get out of government. Enough is enough!
