March 22, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- SPLM/SPLA [IO] Military Governor Duer Tut Duer Makuach is in a tour of Federal State of Sobat under the rebel held territories; touring parts of southern Sobat, says Kech Nguoth Tiem, Sobat State Secretary for Information, Documentation and Orientation in SPLM/SPLA in opposition.
Governor Duer has visited Yomding, Ulang, Doma and Abwong (Gelacial) Counties of Sobat State, which is under SPLM-IO liberated areas, extends his visit in those counties as he conducts several community meetings with civil population in every county he visits.
According to the statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Secretary Kech Nguoth Tiem alleges that Governor Duer attended a huge conference in Ulang County well attended by traditional chiefs who came from as far as neighboring Bieh State. Duer calls upon all citizens living along the borders to cooperate and live in peace amongst themselves and in peaceful coexistent with all tribes but sends a strong message to cattle raiders to stop creating insecurity among communities.
“Governor Duer Tut Duer called on those criminals who are involved in cattle business and causing insecurities among the communities to stop immediately, accusing the group of causing the recent misunderstanding between the two communities living along the border around Ulang,” Kech Nguoth has stated.
Duer has taken the opportunity to send another message of peace to all citizens in his state and enforces Jikmir Resolution that requires every Sobat citizen to allow safe passage of pastoralists from neighboring States in order to graze their livestock in the areas saying there is need to share scarce commodities and need for corporation at this difficult time in our country.
He particularly asked people from Bieh State to come and graze their cattle in Sobat State but warned them against any disrespect saying the law treats everyone equal in the State and must abide by the rules and regulations of Sobat State. In return, people of Bieh State congratulate compliment Governor Duer for his kindness towards them and urge him to move on with the same spirit as communities have shown strong unity under his wise and unifying leadership.
