South Sudan confirms fifth COVID-19 case

April 23, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s Ministry of Health has on Thursday confirmed the fifth case of Coronavirus in South Sudan.

Dr. Angok Kuol, the incident manager for coronavirus at the country’s ministry of health confirmed the latest positive case

The ministry recently started testing people who want to travel outside Juba.

The fifth patient is one of those who came for that routine test to get exit clearance from Juba.

The patient whose details have not been disclosed is now in an isolation center and his contacts are being traced, according to Dr. Angok .

The other four cases were confirmed on 5, 7, 9 and 10 April.
