This comes less than 24 hours after country’s information minister and government spokesman, Micheal Makuei Lueth described the activists as people being paid by the outsiders to derail the implementation of the peace agreement.

Makuei referring to activists said, if you have taken money from outsiders, please put your country in heart because according to Makuei the calls for peaceful demonstrations are the imported ideals that do not represent the will of the people of South Sudan.

According to the information received by Nyamilepedia, the ring leader of the people’ Coalition for Civil Action, Abraham Awolich denied Makuei’s claim and said the fact that Makuei is being paid to speak up for the failed regime does not mean any citizen advocating for a change is paid by the foreigners.

“Just because Micheal Mauei is paid to be the spokesperson for the government doesn’t mean that everybody else who speaks is paid, and so the People’s Coalition for Civil Action is not a foreign agenda it’s born out of many years of frustration among the people of South Sudan for what is clearly a failed leadership in the country”, Awolich told V.O.A from undisclosed zone.

According to Awolich, the government is just buying time to remain in power.

The PCCA planned protests for August 30th got South Sudan politicians on their knees as they fear that a protest could overthrow the government as witnessed in Sudan, Tunisia, Egypt and other North African countries.

In response, the government shutdown internet networks and deployed politic task forces on the streets warning that their men in uniform do not have rubber bullets and tears gas but AK47 and live ammunitions to crack down any protests.

Journalists and activists have been arrested in Wau, Bor and also in the capital Juba as they are accused to be behind the protests that disappeared in a thin air!
