August 23, 2021—The leadership of Jagei Community in Juba under Mr. Malual Tap Dieu has met the national Minister of Petroleum Mr. Puot Kang Chol today.
According to reports extended to Nyamilepedia, the meeting was attended by elders and politicians including Amb. William Daud Riak, elder Paul Puot Juoi, elder James Nguany Ket, RV. Phar Tap, Hon, elder Gatyiey Kap, elder Yuanes Yap Wich, mama Nyadual Puot, mama Nyakoang Nam and 17 other people for a total of 22 people.
In a statement by Jagei Community Secretary, the purpose of the meeting with Minister Puot Kang was mainly to address challenges facing Jagei Community especially natural disaster and lack of Youth employment challenge.
“The purpose of the meeting was to discuss with the Honorable Minister issues pertaining Jagei Community interest and progress. The issues includes but not limited to the following: The devastating flood that engulfed most part of greater Koch County.” Said the JCA SG.
” Under employment and empowerment of Jagei graduates in Oil Companies and other sectors operating in Unity State and Koch in Particular” He continued.
“The issue of social corporate benefits that are supposed to be enjoyed by the host communities” the statement reads by part.
According to the statement, Jagei community delegation congratulated and appreciated Minister Puot Kang Chol for the tremendous efforts he has put forth in reforming the Petroleum sector which is a crucial step in reviving the shrieked economic status of the country.
The JCA reaffirmed and pledged its unwavering support and cooperation to the Honorable Minister and his administration.
On his part, Honorable Minister Puot Kang Chol appreciates Hon Malual Tap Dieu and his leadership for the steps taken so far in serving Jagei Community.
Hon Kang stressed the importance of unity and progress of Jagei Community not only to Unity State but to the entire Nuer and South Sudan at large.
“Jagei is the backbone of Nuer as a tribe because all of us orginated from Tharjiathiech” Hon Puot stressed.
Minister Puot Kang promised to stand along side with Jagei community in their needs.
