August 1, 2015(Nyamilepedia) – Heavy fighting has broken out in Yambio, the capital of Western Equatoria state, after news spread that an SPLA soldier entered a church, shooting a priest and four others who were in the church praying. The government soldier then fled into the bush.

According to reliable sources, who spoke to our editorial from Yambio, the town was deserted by 9pm and gunshots could be heard everywhere around the town.

The residents describe the fighting as the heaviest the town of Yambio has seen so far.

Another source, who identified himself as Khamis,  reiterates that the fighting started when several Lorries carrying what he described as large number of “Dinka only” approached Yambio and tried to enter the town raising suspicion from locals.
“Soon as they reached about 18 km from the town, the Arrow-Boys appeared and blocked the road leading to Yambio and told the Lorry drivers that they would not be allowed to enter the town” Khamis explained.
“so they should peacefully turn back and return to where they came from” He continued.
This is believed to have angered those in the lorry and triggered the full battle that broke out between the two sides according to the source.

It is believed that a unit of government soldiers from Equatoria on hearing the news also defected from the main army and attacked the military barracks.

The “Arrow-boys” and the defectors are believed to be fighting on one side against the government troops.

So far, the number of casualties is yet to be confirmed but the sources alleged that some soldiers and also civilians were killed.

Meanwhile yesterday afternoon a government soldier attacked and killed two bodaboda motor cyclists near the airstrip and fled into a nearby bush.

The soldier is believed to have gone on a shooting rampage after hearing the news that some of their colleagues were killed in fighting with villagers.

Violence started when SPLA soldiers stationed at Biresi village near the Congo border arrested several youths and a chief without any explanation which lead to anger in the community leading to breakout of violence.

“Some of the youths there yesterday went out angry and they went and shot three of the (SPLA) soldiers there in Bindisi.” said Charles Kisanga, the State information minister.

The governor of the state, Mr. Joseph Bakosoro, says he had send the army commander in the area to visit Biseri village to look at the situation and what actually happened when the three soldiers were killed two days ago by angry villagers.

The villages accused the army of harassing and arresting local without any clear justifications.

“We heard that there is one who put on the army raincoat. He shot two young men near the airport in Pothou and ran away, towards northern Yambio,” Governor Bakosoro told media.

The commander of the Arrow-Boys, a local Equatoria civil defence contingent, which has been battling the LRA at the border with Congo had warned the government of Salva Kiir that there would be retaliation and escalation of violence if the youth from Maridi area, who are being held by the army were not immediately released.

Tensions has been rising between Kiir regime and the people of western Equatoria after cattle keepers killed several people and destroyed the local farms leading to calls for them to leave the area.

Sources from the area fear that the youth may join the arrow-boys to harass the SPLA soldiers in the state, threatening that any soldier belonging to Salva Kiir’s side may become an imminent target by the arrow-boys until they leave the state.

Equatorians, this is the image and the situation in Mundri. Our brothers are killed in cold blood by Dinka Haram terrorist organization in Western Equatoria now, and this will escale to some parts of Equatoria if peace talks fail. So be prepared to face this idiots and fight to the last breath to flush them out of our territories. Malong and the like have a secret military training camp few kilometer away from Entebbe Airport. We are following this development very closely and will keep you informed

We’re ready brother, you’re bringing problem into your own door step, your state is very quiet and peaceful, why
are you causing havoc? Dinka’s government is ready to face you, making up excuses to chase dinka away from
your state, does amount to a war.

This is tribalism otherwise. There is nobody who owned South Sudan to chase away anybody. Those are advocating for more conflict are cowards who don’t even participate in a battlefield. Never preach for something you will not be involved in practically.

An ugly war against civilians is unacceptable. South Sudan appears to disintegrate into chaos for a long time to come. A nation in disarray can never survive when there is no accountability, no law and order and no government authority. Sad indeed, the people of South Sudan must rise and bring this cancerous regime to an end. South Sudan citizens did not vote during the referendum as a death sentence, it was for their LIBERTY, the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS and FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Equarorians! Equatorians! What the goodness you are waiting for? Is money more than the land you are inhabiting ? Is there anything more than human life? The government you are loyal to is killing you in cold blood, attacking your villages killing the civilians, killing priests inside the church and you still insisting on saying that your state is quite after all. You still say that there is a peace in your regions with the government. Where is the peace? Where is the government loyalty to you? It is your responsibility to say no to the government. It is your duty to point it out that the government is violating human rights. So tomorrow, you will blame no one

Riek machar, keep building a south sudan state. You are making good decisions. Salva kiir & their group are now standing naked infront of the international community because of what your team did. You have 100% won on the diplomacy front. Now, keep up organizing the military front in all states. Yes you dont like war & you liked for peace to come but there is no peace as far as those useless group are in power. So make a decision & give the military option more focus. Help your allies to wage guerrilla war in their states.

Yambio is our Land and not for killing Riek Machar. Nuer were used by John Garang in the past as the killing machines, but now they have to think twice between Riek Machar and their future in South Sudan.

Nyamilepedia Staff,
Thanks a lot for the above news article, particularly for bringing the convincing pictures depicting victims of Dinka Salva Kirr terrorists regime. These pictures speak more than words. So please forward these horrific pictures to the IGAD Secretariat, Troika countries, UN and European Union so that they can judge for themselves whether it is a good idea to hand over South Sudan to this Murderous president Salva KIrr during the transitional period proposed by them!
