Former Deputy Governor of Unity State dies in Juba

Juba, South Sudan,

June 15, 2021 – Former Deputy Governor of Unity State Stephen Mabek Lang who also served as the commissioner of Pariang County has died this morning in the capital Juba.

Speaking to Nyamilepedia this morning, one of Lang’s relatives said it was a surprise to everyone to have received such tragic news.

“Very sad indeed I don’t even know what to say only God knows”, deceased’s relatives who requested to speak on condition of anonymity told Nyamilepedia with grief.

According to the senior Ruweng government official who identified himself as Miakol said, the late. Lang was battling an undisclosed disease for a number of years.

“He has been sick for several years and he died in Juba on Sunday evening in presence of his family,” Miakol was quoted by a local media outlet to have said.

“I take this opportunity to send my condolence to his family and the people of Ruweng Administrative Area,” he added.

Late. Lang also served as the deputy for Ruweng State following the division of the states into 28 three years ago.
