March 5th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, who was – on Monday – in Juba for a tripartite meeting with South Sudanese President, Salva Kiir and his Eritrean counterpart, Isaias Afeworki, will meet SPLM-IO leader in Khartoum soon, a senior  opposition official told the Nyamilepedia.

Machar, who is also the First Vice-President designate signed a peace agreement with President Salva Kiir in September last year to end the ongoing five-year old civil war and to recover a transitional government that collapsed in July 2016.

The senior opposition official who declined to be named said the meeting will focus on how Machar could build trust with President Salva Kiir for the sack of achieving permanent peace in the world’s youngest nation.

“He will meet His Excellency the First Vice-President designate here in Khartoum very soon and in the near future,” the official said. “The meeting will discuss how he (Machar) can build full trust and confidence with his brother, President Salva Kiir Mayardiit so that peace is fully restored in the Republic of South Sudan.”

Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy on Monday cancelled a visit to the Sudanese capital after reportedly Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki who was with him on board declined to land at Khartoum Airport.
