“The Committee Members further calls on the general civil population in Terekeka county to remain calmed and desist from inter-communal clashes and opt for peaceful coexistence as both the Joint technical national security committee and the state security committee through its security apparatus are handling the matter with the utmost care given the reoccurrences reported in the past few weeks of last year,” the statement read.

According to the press secretary, the state Security committee has reiterated their earlier call of evacuating some of the cattle herders in the contested areas to their places of origin with immediacy for peace and stability to prevail in the areas in question.
