January 17th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Suspected Murle armed cattle raiders have attacked Akobo County’s Buong, several residents have told Nyamilepedia in separate statements on Friday.

One source said the attack took place overnight and that it was still unclear how many people have died in the attack. He said the attackers which he said came from Boma have been repulsed.

“They have been defeated,” he said referring to the attackers. “They came from Boma and there are few casualties but I am not sure how many have died in the attack.”

Another source have accused the government of South Sudan of being behind the attack. He said the government is “so desperate to destabilizing the areas of Lou-Nuer.”
