Lt. General Wechthiang Mut Turoah arrived to the capital Juba from the Sudanese capital Khartoum and was received at the Juba International Airport by the government Special Division Commander in Unity State Maj. Gen. Puljang Top among other top government officials and military leaders.

“Gen. William Weythiang Mut declared his allegiance to the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) under the leadership of the country President Salva Kiir Mayardit,” Gatkuoth Mut Turoah, Gatdet’s Press Secretary who also said he defected told the Nyamilepedia this evening.

Asked about his political stance after his brother decided to abandon Gatdet who have been his Chairman foe the last four and half years, Gatkuoth said he is no longer interested in working with Gatdet anymore whom he accused of undermining others rights.

“Absolutely am not interested like to work again with the movement who undermine the right of others,” Gatkuoth,  Gatdet’s spokesman said of his Chairman.

“I will resign from my position that I served over the last four and half years now. I Am now in Khartoum and  I welcome General Wechthiang’s initiative to defect,” he said.

He added that he has defected with so many officers from Gatdet’s SSUM; a claim the Nyamilepedia could not independently verify.
