Personal Letter To Rachael Nyadak Paul!
“IT TAKES MANY GOOD DEEDS TO BUILD A GOOD REPUTATION, AND ONLY ONE BAD ONE TO LOSE IT.”
By Dhuor Reath Badeeng,
Dec 28, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — The wise men never ran of out of words to say but the victims of their words never give the impression to take in the meanings they carry…..
Hon. Nyadak Paul as many of us know you, you were once a household name. Household’s items like; radio, cups and even spoons were named after you. The local women in the village (Greater Lou) composed songs in your name, musicians like Gordon Koang, Duop Pur, Mary Tarif composed song in your name. One other musician whose name I have forgotten even went as far as describing you as “a man whose testicles are located on the neck”.
Since your appointment as State MP after the signing of the CPA, you have been enjoying the huge support of many Nuer men, women, youths and children. You have always been an instrument of change and a voice to the voiceless. One would not go to your house and fails to find a colossal integer of women sitting in your compound waiting to either meet you to make a conversation or ask for aid, which you always offer. You were the woman I once admired so much that I would pick an argument with anybody who tries to attack your actions despite how best their line of reasoning could be. In many State parliament proceedings, you have always questioned the killing of Lou Nuer by Murle. This won you mammoth support from the locals because you were their voice and stood with them unwaveringly. To many, you were like Ngundeng whose word he left behind are still being believed up to date.
Nevertheless, the yesterday angelic woman that is today in the fiend persona of you has turned out to be an enemy of the very people that once worshipped her. One depiction of your ill-behaved character is your recent Facebook status that reads “Riek Machar and his wife Angelina Teny shouldn’t mobilize our Lou youths to resist the constitutional army from entering Lou Nuer land next week! Lou must choose between deaths or surrender because the recently deployed Chinese are against terrorist!”
I do not really understand whether your recent behavior towards your constituents (the Lou) is a hatred toward Riek and his wife OR a charm on you against your very people. However the case might be, I do not want to waste much of my time on that because you already lost my and many others’ trust. You’re no long the Rachael Nyadak I and many others used to know, you have lost credibility like your Boss Salva Kiir. The women in Uror, Nyirol and Akobo would only live to regret the songs they composed in your name not knowing you would one day come to betray them at a time they need you the most.
The reputation that you gained through hardships is now lost in just a second. Just like the old days’ Kulang Toat that poured a whole bag of sugar into a swamp thinking that the water would turn out sweet, not knowing that sugar would sink and dissolve in the sand, your self interest against the Lou’s has now made you lose a REPUTATION THAT TOOK YOU MANY GOOD DEEDS TO BUILD.
