March 30, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — A report, leaked to Nyamilepedia by anonymous insiders, demonstrated the level of surveillance that the National Security Service, General Intelligence Bureau (GIB) forecasted on the political turmoil that outburst in December 2013. The National Security Service, GIB, closely monitored, with all their sophistication, the groups described as Hostile and Power Hungary politicians, along with the retired generals. Most of these politicians and generals were arrested after the December 15 incident.
Among the senior politicians are the Former Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar, the Former Minister of Nation Security, Gen. Oyai Deng Ajak, Former Minister of Roads Gen Gier Chuang, Former Cabinet Affairs Minister Deng Alor, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Nhial Deng Nhial, Fomer Minister of Electricity and Dams Deng Athorbei, Hon. Rebecca Nyandeng, Suspended SPLM Secretary General Pagan Amum, West Equatoria State governor Bangasi Bankasoro, Fomer Unity State Governor Taban Deng Gai, Former South Sudan Ambassador to the United States Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Brig. Gen Abraham Wani and the SPLM-DC leader Dr. Lam Akol.
After repeated rumors of coups in 2012, president Salva Kiir has constantly expanded the reams of surveillance in the country by issuing more sensitive decrees. In January 2013, he decreed the inspector general of the national police and replaced him with a lieutenant from the army. He demised six deputy chiefs of staff and 29 major generals in the army within the same year.
In the first quarter of 2013 he decreed 117 army generals without retirement benefits. The generals were put on a reserved list. Later on, in July, he dissolved his entire cabinet including the vice president, Dr. Riek Machar and also dismissed the party Secretary General Pagan Amum. Amum was put on investigation, and was restricted from press and movement. In the last quarter of the year, the president dissolved the SPLM party and trained private army from his home town.
This fragile security was inflicted with sad memories of 1990s, which constantly came up in political forums, led by none other than the president. All these constraint the level of security in the country. Some of these have been partly reflected in a report titled, “conspiracy report”:
