May 1st 2018 (Nyamilepdia) – A South Sudanese researcher and academician has accused South Sudan’s incumbent of being a “killer” in contrary to what he said he was during the liberation war with the then majority Muslim north calling on the people of Gokrial, Kiir’s hometown, to pursue him to go and leave the leadership of the country because he lacks something new to do to the nation.

In a statement he posted on his Facebook page, Jok Madut Jok, co-founder of the Sudd Institution, said kiir has ran out of new ideas that can move South Sudan forward out of the current crisis.

“I want to offer a bet to all those South Sudanese who see me as a vilain when I say my cousin, President Kiir, has reached the end of the road in terms of new ideas that can move this country out of its current crises,” he said.

He he said he is convinced for years that Kiir “Mayar” cannot solve one single issue among the challenges he faces today as a leader arguing that should Kiiir remain the country will never exit the current problems it is facing.

“I am particularly interested to hear possible bets from people of my own family, Gogrial State, who say I am a sell out, throwing my clansman under the bus. My bet is, i am convinced and have been convinced for years, that Kiir Mayar cannot solve one single issue among the million challenges we face today, and if Kiir remains in office for however long from now on, the country will never exit these current crises, not even by an inch,” he said.

He challenges anyone who dispute his claim about Kiir saying “If any of you can dispute this, bet against me, if Kiir will solve any single problem between now and a year’s time, or two or three. I bet you that it will be the same failure and public suffering we have become accustomed to over the years.”

“Should we remain with that level of mediocrity and suffering?” Or should we, especially my family, Gogrial State, tell my cousin president he has come to a fork in the road” he asked.

“This country dies under his failed clan-inspired policies and go into history as the one who liberated us and then killed us; or go home with a legacy of a last hour savior of the country?” he asked again.

he said the primary choice belong to him [Kiir] and the secondary belongs to the people of Gokrial and then comes the people of South Sudan.

“Otherwise where is Gadafi’s Sirte or Saddam’s Takrit?” he ask

The Sudd Institute is a research organization based in the South Sudan’s capital Juba and Jok Madut Jok is the Executive Director of the Institute.
