To the SSUM/A fraternity, the public, and peace guarantors,
This statement serves to categorically refute the false and misleading reports alleging that Hon. Denay Jock Chagor, Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the South Sudan United Movement/Army (SSUM/A), has withdrawn from the Revitalized Peace Agreement (R-ARCSS). These claims, propagated by detractors and enemies of peace, are baseless and aimed at undermining the peace process.
Hon. Denay Jock Chagor remains fully committed to the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement. He continues to work closely with H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit in Juba to address the pressing challenges facing the nation and to uphold the principles of peace and stability.
We urge all SSUM/A forces stationed at various cantonment sites across the country, as well as our members within South Sudan and in the diaspora, to remain steadfast in their patriotic duties. We implore you to dismiss these unfounded allegations as mere fabrications designed to destabilize and weaken the peace process.
The South Sudan United Movement remains dedicated to fostering lasting peace and stability in our nation. We call upon all peace-loving citizens and stakeholders to continue supporting the full implementation of the peace agreement.
