Women, children killed as cattle raiders attacks Bul East county

January 20th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – At least twenty-eight (28) people have been killed and 22 others injured as suspected cattle raiders from neighboring Tonj state attacks Loat, a village in Northern Liech’s Bul East county sources have said.

Also in a statement issued on Friday, Lam Tungwar Kueiguong, Norther Liech State information minister, said the attack took place last Tuesday and resulted into the death of 28 people with 22 other injured while at least 3000 herd of cattle have stolen.

Lam further said the incident killed “The attackers took lives of more than 28 individuals mostly children and women and injured more than 22 individuals who sustained severe injuries, the armed youths attackers who where from Tonj State rundown the cattle camp and looted more than 3000 cattle leaving behind only their calves,” he said in a statement seen by the Nyamilepedia.

Lam further condemned the attack and urged the government of the neighboring Tonj state to apprehend the cattle raiders and return the stolen cattle.

“The state of Northern Liech and the leadership condemned this barbaric and cowardice acts on the civilians by the armed criminals and we strongly asked the government of Tonj State to apprehend the culprits and let them face justice according to our country law and recover all the looted cattle and return them to their rightful owners,” he added.
