Vice President Abdelbagi tours IBBA and Maridi Girls Secondary, promises to provide “tools necessary to navigate hardships”

Oct 10, 2021 — During his recent visit to Western Equatoria State, the Vice President for Service Cluster, H.E.  Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, assessed developmental progress by touring schools and hospital in the counties on Wednesday.

According to the press unit of the Vice President for Service Cluster, H.E. Abdelbagi toured IBBA Girls Primary, Girls secondary Boarding School, Maridi Girls Secondary School and also Maridi Hospital.

The Vice President commended the girls’ confidence at Maridi Girls Secondary School and promised to provide tools necessary for girls to navigate hardships they are facing.

“I had an interactive moment with students from Maridi Girls Secondary School after assessing IBBA and Maridi Hospitals respectively.” Said VPSC Hussein Abdelbagi Ayii.

“I was amazed at how they presented themselves with confidence and zeal that demonstrated their proficiency in language of study and culture” He continued.

According to Hon. Abdelbagi there is high need to empower girls to achieve their educational opportunities to become better leaders.

“For that matter, there is need to empower girls towards achieving their educational opportunities to become better leaders.” He said.

“Now, the next step is to provide the children with the tools they need to successfully navigate the hardships in life.” He continued.

Hon. Hussein visited IBBA County, one of the 10 county administrative areas in Western Equatoria State, and Maridi in response to negative side effects that emerged after patients received Bilhazia medicine.

“Arrived in IBBA county to assess the developmental progression in the area as well as to check on the students from IBBA Girls Primary and secondary Boarding School, who developed negative side effects after receiving Bilhazia medicine.” He said.

The Vice President appeals to parents to wait patiently for the results of investigation that is currently in progress.

“I appealed to the parents for patience as the investigation into the matter continues.” Abdelbagi added.
