Vice chancellor of Juba University promises to ensure quality education in University this year.

January 7,2022—The Vice Chancellor of University of Juba, Prof. John Akec, has promised to ensure Juba University improves academically.

In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, the ambitious professor, is promising that the country’s oldest and first highest learning institution will this year witness an improvement academically and also in term of expanding the facilities.

“Juba University to be one of the best universities in Africa and world at large”,the statement reads.

“University of Juba to have quality education and strong research center”,the statement added.

Akech says new courses will be introduced this year, a world class library will be built, sanitation and internet will also be improved.

“Introduction of new courses;

“World class library;

“Making University of Juba clean;

“Installing super fast internet and online classes”, Prof. Akech emphasized.

According to Prof Akech, the university will teach students to be job creators, not just job seekers.

He says results of exams will duly be released on time and lecture halls will be expanded.

“Enrolling more students as lecture halls are increased”, Prof. Akech emphasized in a statement.

He also pledged to work on modernizing students’ hostels/dormitories as well as motivating lecturers and none teaching staff.

Prof. John Akech was appointed in 2014 as Vice Chancellor for University of Juba and was given another 4-year term two years ago following his performance in the University.

Since his appointment, the University of Juba has witnessed a significant improvement in term of education and administration compared to tenures of his predecessors.
