July 2nd, 2016(Nyamilepedia)  —– President Salva Kiir’s daughter, Anok, and David Deng Chagai wedded today at Kator Cathedral Church in South Sudan capital, Juba.

The high-class wedding was attended by the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, second Vice President, James Wani Igga among other foreign and local dignitaries.

Unlike the wedding of his first daughter, Adut Salva Kiir, in 2011 which sparked controversies for marrying a Ethiopian businessman and controversial arrests of many journalists, Anok’s wedding was conducted behind the spotlight.

The wedding was attended by family members including Salva Kiir’s first wife Ayendit, a step mother to the bride, and also by the family of David Deng.

Anok and Deng’s wedding, whose reception was done at the Freedom Hall, coincided with random shooting between Kiir’s loyalistsat Gumbo and death of SPLA-IO Security official in the hands of unknown gunmen near the venue of the wedding in Katore.

In other reports, Juba experienced a mile earthquake at 11:20pm, July 2nd 2016.
