South Sudan Police Chief, visiting Zambian counterpart discuss bilateral ties

January 29th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s Inspector General of Police Gen. Majak Akech Malok on Tuesday met his Zambian counterpart, Gen. Kakoma Kunganja, in Juba to discuss bilateral ties.

Speaking during a press conference in the capital Juba on Tuesday,  South Sudan’s Gen. Akech said the two countries will work together to strengthen police cooperation.

“We will do our best to make sure that we enforce our cooperation,” he said adding that the government of South Sudan thanks the Zambian General for the visit.

For his part,  the Zambian Police Chief said he is grateful for the reception rendered to him by his South Sudanese counterpart.

“I thank you General Majak and the South Sudan Police Service for the wonderful welcome,” he said.

Early, the South Sudan Police Service (SSPS) announced on its social media Facebook page that police chief Akech held talks with his Zambian counterpart.

“South Sudan’s Inspector General of Police, Gen. Majak Akech Malok and Zambian Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kakoma Kunganja discussed ways of bilateral cooperation between the two countries,” the statement by the police said.
