July 6th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement and Army in Opposition Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon will travel on Monday to the Kenyan capital Nairobi for the third round of the face-to-face meeting with South Sudan’s incumbent, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, in an effort brokered by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to end the ongoing civil war, officials told the Nyamilepedia on Thursday.

Machar met Kiir last month in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa for the first time since July 2016 following clashes between guards loyal to each in the Presidential Palace J1. The two met again two days later in the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

A South Sudanese official on Friday told the Nyamilepedia that the two leader will meet on Monday to discuss the remaining issues on governance and the number of the states as based on the peace proposal put forth by the Sudanese President on Thursday.

“Dr. Machar will travel on Monday to Nairobi to meet President Salva Kiir as part of the face-to-face meeting continuation between the two leaders,” the source said on the cover of anonymity.

Another source told the Nyamilepedia that Machar will discuss with his rival Kiir issues regarding the peace proposal tabled by the Sudanese President in Khartoum on Wednesday and would come up with a final position to sign a final peace agreement which is expected to end the ongoing civil war in the young African nation.

“The two leader, President Kiir and opposition leader Dr. Machar will discuss issues that are still pending between the warring parties who are now in Khartoum as proposed by President Bashir,” the source said.
