Kiir’s press secretary denies rumors of suspension

May 31st 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan presidential press secretary Ateny Wek Ateny have denied social media rumors that he has been suspended by the South Sudanese president from his job as the president’s press secretary.

In a social media Facebook post on his timeline, Ateny announced to the “well and bad” wishers that he is still the press secretary and has not been removed or suspended by the President

“I am happy to inform all of you that I am still the Press Secretary in the Office of the President. I have been neither suspended nor relieved. These fake news are from those who envy me for doing my job,” Ateny wrote.

He revealed that many people among which are relatives and friends wrote to him recently in search for clarification whether he has been suspended or relieved.

“Friends and family members as well as my detractors have written to me privately to clarify if I am suspended or relived,”

He thanks those he called bad wishers and well wishers.

“It is with my utmost privilege to thank all of your for your best and bad wishes to me,” Ateny said..

He accused people he did not mention of hating the government and seeing him working with the government.
