Kiir to be deputized by four vice-Presidents

July 8th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, and opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, have agreed, during the Kampala face-to-face talks, that there would be four vice-presidents in the world’s youngest nations during the would-be thirty-six month transitional period, Sudanese Foreign Minister has announced.

In a statement to reporters on Saturday in the Ugandan capital Kampala where the face-to-face meeting where held under the auspices of the Ugandan leader, President Yoweri Museveni and the Sudanese President Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, the Sudanese Foreign Minister Al-Dierdiry Ahmed said the two leaders have agreed that President Kiir will be deputized by four vice presidents.

“It has been agreed [by Kiir and Machar] that there will be four vice-presidents: the current two vice presidents pl;us Riek Machar [who] will assume the position of the First Vice-President, and then the fourth position will be allocated to a woman from the opposition,” the top Sudanese diplomat said on Saturday.

This morning, the SPLM-IO Director of the national Committee for Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang told the Nyamilepedia that the opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny has returned to the Sudanese capital on Saturday night.
