Speaking in a pre-recorded clip extended to Nyamilepedia, Ateny, who is also a veteran journalist formally announced that he has ceased to be a Christian.

“As I am a man from Ateny-Dior, am not a Christian. I said it several times here on this occasion. I have since ceased to be a Christian,” Ateny said.

“I have returned to what I am, the Ateny-Dior way. Ateny-Dior does things in a very unique way because we talk directly to God, there’s nobody in between us and God,” he justified as a sparse audience cheers him on.

The Presidential spokesman pleaded with God through his new spiritual being to soar the audience with fortunes flunked by wealth and children.

“So, I’m now asking the almighty God without anybody’s intervention to please you and to have a house that will have children and the wealth,” he said.

“And may God bless anyone that has come here and you go with the peace of Ateny-Dior and everybody will be in the house, there’s nothing [bad] that will happen to you,” he said.

The Interim Constitution of the Republic of South Sudan 2011 provides for the freedom of consent and freedom of religion.
