Government says cantonment of hug VIP protection unit “very” difficult

May 2nd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) –South Sudan government said on Thursday that a cantonment of a very hug VIP [Very Important Persons] protection force would be very difficult for the parties to manage on time given its high financial demands.

South Sudan’s main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, led by the country’s former First Vice-President, Dr. Riek Machar, proposed this week the creation of a VIP protection unit that would be between 10-12 thousand men making up a whole army division.

However, in respond, the South Sudan army spokesman, Maj. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang said buy furosemide online pharmacy although they agree with the SPLM-IO in theory for the creation of a hug VIP protection force, it is difficult in practice especially its financial demand.

“Our position is that in theory, we are in agreement with SPLM/A- IO but in practice, it’s very difficult for a force of between 10 to 12000 to be cantoned,” Major General Lul Ruai was quoted by the Eye Radio as saying.

“To be subjected through selection processes to be trained, deployed within the stipulated period of time will pose a huge logistical, financial, infrastructural and trained manpower challenges, as well as time,” he added.
