Civil society group concludes intercultural dialogue in Kampala

September 24th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – A intercultural dialogue conducted in the Ugandan capital Kampala has been concluded by the International Youth For Africa, a nonprofit organization based in Uganda. 

The Executive Director of the International Youth for Africa (IYA)’s Ter Manyang Gatwech during the dialogue called thr youth and women to promote peace through cultural activities in their communities for a better South Sudan.

“I urge South Sudanese people to adopt the intermarriages for our communities to live in a peaceful society,” Ter said.

The intercultural dialogue on peace and national identity in South Sudan was held at the Uganda Museum September 21st 2018 under the theme “cultural diversities in building and promotion of peace in South Sudan”.

The discussion brought over 400 participants ranging from youth, women, girls, civil society, religious leaders, politicians and traditional cultures.

The dialogue was conducted by the International Youth for Africa (IYA) in collaboration with Makerere University’s South Sudanese Students’ Association (MUSSSA) under the auspices of Network of  South Sudan civil society organizations in Uganda (NOSSCOU) with support from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS)
