November 21,2021—The office of Governor of Central Equatoria State announced that the recent firing of Molana Kalisto Lado as city Mayor has to remain intact and will never be reversed.

This comes after many activists stormed the media with criticism challenging the governor’s decision and demanded the immediate reinstatement of Kalisto.

In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, Derrick Derrickson, an official Press Secretary of Governor Adil says the dismissal of Kalisto is in constitutional exercise of the Governor and as such it must remain effective as decided.

“The substantive decision taken by the wise and abled leadership of Governor Emmanuel remains final and will not never be revoked whatsoever no matter whatever the case as it is within his competency as the sitting Governor of Central Equatoria State who appointed him via Gubernatorial Decree No.12/2021 AD”, Derrickson said in a statement.

Derrickson also urges the media users to distance themselves from what he describes as propaganda machinery, saying the public should leave the people of Central Equatoria alone.

“The general public especially the Media Houses and social media users are urged to distance themselves from these propagandist machinery and leave the people of Central Equatoria State to enjoy their everlasting peace as they engage on their normal duties without any hearsay business”, Derrickson added in a statement.

Derrick stressed that the government is clearly defined as a Governing body of a nation or a state or a community but not as one individual manipulating others for his or her selfish motives, and as such, “the Governor’s decision to sack the mayor shouldn’t be politicized”.

On 18th of November 2021, the Governor of Central Equoria State issued a Gubernatorial Decree firing Molana Kalisto Lado as Town Mayor of Juba, Central Equoria State, but the decision was widely criticized by citizens.
