August 16, 2015(Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan Capital has been hit by a political turmoil and unrest this evening as Dozens of governors have been dismissed and others have been put under house detention by security forces loyal to president Salva Kiir.

Governors of several states have been abruptly dismissed including; Simon Kun Puoc of Upper Nile state, Major General Clement Wani Konga of Central Equatoria state, Gen. Joseph Bakosoro of Western Equatoria state, Nyandeng Malek of Warrap State and Northern Bahr El Ghazal stat.

While Governor Bakosoro and his family were detained at the airport yesterday, other governors were taken by surprise when they heard several presidential decrees read on the government owned channel, SSTV, relieving the governors from their positions with immediate effect.

This comes Just a day after president Kiir convinced the governors to come to gather in the capital Juba to release a statement condemning IGAD-Plus peace talks and also to criticize western powers for trying to impose a “white man” peace agreement.

One senior official who did not want to be named due to fear of reprisal said this was not what the governors were expecting when they gathered in Juba for what was called a national solidarity conference.

“The governors were lured to come for consultation on IGAD peace agreement, they were also asked to make a joint statements to condemn the peace process, they did not know this would follow” the senior official in the parliament said.

Another decree was also read a few minutes after appointing new “caretaker” governors to replaced the dismissed governors.

The appointed new caretaker governors, who are mostly generals in the army, include Juma Ali Malou governor for Central Equatoria State, Patrick Zamosi governor for Western Equatoria, Akec Tong Aleu governor for Warrap State, Akot Deng governor for Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.

In the same decree read on SSTV, President Salva Kiir has also imposed the current army deputy chief of staff for moral orientation, General Chol Thon Bolok as new governor for Upper Nile state.

Detentions

Meanwhile in a new report which could trigger a bitter power struggle within the government in Juba indicates that several of the governors have been placed under detention in the capital Juba in “anticipation of a black clash” from mostly Equatoria governors who have large following in their various states.

The governor of Western Equatoria, col. Joseph Bakosoro, was yesterday blocked from traveling outside the capital Juba and has been placed in detention since yesterday only to hear on national TV that he has now been fired.

Bakosoro who spoke to media said he was not given any explanation for his detention but was told there was going to be a meeting that he needs to attend with the president, that is why he was being detained.

The governor who was elected popularly in his state on an independent ticket without SPLM support said he was waiting to see the end of this game as he wanted to take things in a civilised way.

Meanwhile reports say General Clement Wani Konga’s house has been surrounded with tanks and presidential guards, his house is believed to be next to President Kiir’s J1 resident.

One official who gave his name as Honorable Lado from Central Equatoria government representing Terrekeka county were Clement Wani comes from, told the media that the governor does not recognised Kiir’s presidential decree because Kiir has no constitutional mandate to relieve an elected governor, warning the governor might not quit his position only through democratic elections.

“How can elected governor be relieved without elections…. why are the other officials… also not relieved, why him governor Clement, who we elected,? only through elections we can have a new governor, otherwise even president’s term is finished” said Hon. Lado who is an official with the Central Equatoria government.

Our reporter have been trying to get more information directly from the governor as to why they have been relieved, as no explanation has been given by the government as to why they have been relieved without any warnings.

While President Salva Kiir decided at a last minute to go and attend the IGAD-PLUS peace process in Ethiopia after days of delays, the president has left behind him widespread changes in his government, including dismissal state governors that could trigger another political unrest in his government.

That is happening around the world if they abuse systems and their powers. Governors should understand that there are many enemies within their States who wanted to take over those positions. That have nothing to do with national ARMy.

Agumut,

How foolish you often reason. Did you ever hear of any take-overs in a state to remove some elected or hand-picked state governor anywhere in the world? Take-overs are done to state presidents and in capital cities. Anyway, I excuse you, what else did I expect from a jienge like you with twisted logic?

New faces are needed. All governors of all Ten States should be elect. Election should come for those States.

It is just a matter of time for the tribally run, genocidal, visionless, and corrupt to the core regime of the incompetence Killer Kiir to eliminate or kill any competent individual from the non-Dinka tribes from its files. Let all the blind followers of this dying regime rot in hell sooner than later

South Sudan have the right and power to make those sacked Governors very very poor if they open their mouths further. Fashionable, while their own people have nothing. This is the beginning of Liberation.

The HONEYMOON is over and Salvatore Kiir is in love with other newly appointed Governors. The question is, has he lost his mind? The Constitution has long ago been shredded and dumped to the waste bin. The rule by DECREE ,seems to work fairly well, like a chase board game. Everything is under your control. After all, the X-Governors were happy to advance the agenda of the Butcher before they themselves got butchered. Hallawa!

Man of the people, you are right the deal is over because they are afraid to face CDR. Koang chuol Ranley. Don’t advice them to much because they will have heart attack before the final round. Their gods became wildwofe to kill them all. They were dancing yesterday about io generals defected. Why they never asked them for twenty months war to finish, while they were thinking it might one day come there turned to be sack out by thie idiot president. What kun and others Nuer whew don’t know is that Dinkas are using them for their benefits. If they defeat Nuer people, they rules South Sudan like their house. Dinkas never care about this nation called southern Sudan. They only care to rule and bullying people and if they failed to finish Nuer man. They find back up place to run to because Dinka doesn’t worry to be somebody else slave because they buy Museveni to maximum to fight Nuer and other southern Sudanese who want to resisted them.

Fools always learn of danger when it is too late to even save their own lives. Collectively, they had enormous power to send him home long long time ago, where else on this earth that a mad person like him is allowed for decades to mess up with innocents people’s lives? He is a heartless dictator who has nothing in his head but unfortunately, he possessed one dirty trick/skill of bribing decent South Sudanese people to do his dirty work and quickly gets rid of them once the dirty job is done. But sadly enough, continue to con people to carry on with his dirty business and no one has a gut to challenge him to restore peace and stability in the country. What a nation!!!
