President Kiir meets Minister of Wildlife and Tourism
Sep 14, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan President Salva Kiir met with the Minister of Wildlife and Tourism, Rizik Zakaria Hassan, today in the capital, Juba.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Nhial Deng Nhial at the State House on Monday.
Speaking to the media after the meeting Hon. Nhial Deng said the meeting discussed matters related to the Ministry of Wildlife and Tourism.
“The agenda of the meeting was to discuss issues related to the activities of the Ministry of Wildlife and Tourism.” Said Hon. Nhial Deng.
In his remarks to the media after the meeting, Rizik Zakaria said that he emphasized to President Salva Kiir a number of challenges facing the work of the ministry and the way forward.
The ministers did not go in depth but South Sudan’s Wildlife industry is one of the most underdeveloped sectors in the country.
South Sudan is currently facing a deep economic crises as the young nation enters into a hyper inflation.
To avert depreciation of currency and rising prices, South Sudan government is thinking of ways to generate extra revenues to bail out oil sector that is currently facing its own crisis at the world market.
