March 18th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudanese students in Cairo have said that one of their colleagues had tested positive for coronavirus.

The unnamed student, one colleague said, was rushed to the hospital after showing unusual signs of respiratory issues including coughing and cold.

“She became sick with fever and too much cough. So, we rushed her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with the virus,” the friend said.

The Egyptian government and the South Sudanese embassy in Cairo are yet to confirmed the issue.

Several calls to the embassy were not successful.

If true, this will be the first infection to a South Sudanese person including back home.
