April 4th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The Sudanese military has reportedly deployed hundreds of troops in a disputed area with South Sudan, according to several sources.

Hundreds of members of the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF), one source told the Nyamilepedia on Wednesday, entered the dispute Kiir Adem area on Sunday causing panic with several families fleeing the area arriving at Gokmachar in South Sudan.

“Around three hundred soldiers from Sudan arrived in Kiir Adem on Sunday in 15 military pick-up vehicles. They entered the area and refused to talk to our Sultan here and this has caused fear among the civil population,” the source told the Nyamilepedia.

The source said around 20 families have left Kiir Adem and arrived in Gokmachar to seek protection.

“They have come here because they are fearing the Sudanese army. They want to be protected because they fear for their life from the Sudanese army and and the Miseriya,” the source added.
