Two South Sudanese nationals arrived late before Ethiopian aircraft took off – source
March 11th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Two South Sudanese nationals escaped Sunday’s crash of Ethiopian airliner which occurred six minutes after taking off from Bole International Airport enroute to Nairobi, Kenya, a source said this morning.
The two unidentified embassy staffs who were on leave in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia were returning to their diplomatic mission in the South Sudan’s embassy in Nairobi.
The source who spoke to the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity said the two arrived two minutes after the plane was about to take off and were prevented by the security to board the plane.
“They came two minutes after the plane’s doors were closed and was about to take off,” the source said.
“They also made a kind of confrontation with security who told them that they had came late and that the plane was about to take off,” the source added.
On Sunday, a Ethiopian passenger jet Boeing 737 flight ET302 crashed in an area around 60 KM South of Addis Ababa killing all the 157 on board.
