July 26, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– The acting governor of Bieh State, Brig. Gen. Koang Rambang Chol, warns President Salva Kiir to rest war campaign that are leading the country back to a full scale war.
Responding to President Kiir’s leaked report that orders the killing of the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, Gen. Rambang assures the people of South Sudan and supporters of SPLM/SPLA in Opposition of his unwavering support of Dr. Machar and SPLM/SPLA-IO.
“Bieh State declared standing on its Feet behind First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, Chairman of SPLM-IO and Commander-in-Chief of SPLA -IO H.E. Gen. Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon.” Gen Rambang said.
Rambang calls on retired general, Taban Deng Gai, to vacate the office of the First Vice President without further delay.
“Gen. Taban Deng Gai must vacates the First Vice President’s office for the rightful democratic leader and peace Icon H.E. Gen. Dr. Machar.” He said.
“Gen. Salva Kiir & tribal JCE must accept peaceful implementation of the agreement and disown Gen. Taban Deng Gai.” he continued.
The deputy governor of SPLM/SPLA-IO stronghold, warns that any violation to peace agreement will be counter-productive.
Speaking in Juba after taking the oath to resume Machar’s position, Taban calls on the IDPs to come out from protection camps, assuring that the country is safe despite over whelming evidence of targeted killing, rape, looting and robbery in the capital city.
According to UNMISS reports, 470 women and young girls from the UN camps were raped in Juba within the last two weeks. Many teenage girls, rapped by unknown gunmen in a broad day light, have died in the camps last week.
The army has also looted World Food Program warehouses and stolen a food that would have fed over 250, 000 people for at least one month, according to US ambassador to South Sudan.
Many Nuer and Equatorians civilians, including supporters of Salva Kiir, were hunted down from their homes and killed during the fighting.
Taban, however, has been dismissed by Dr. Machar from the SPLM/SPLA-IO for conspiring against the vision of SPLM/SPLA-IO.
So far gen. Taban has opposed deployment of a deterrent force from the region to act as a buffer zone. Gai has also rejected the idea of two armies and shown support for Salva Kiir’s 28 states.
