South Sudan a Country Desperate For Peace, “Who Will Come First”!
April 19, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– While South Sudanese waits for Dr. Riek Machar’s return to the capital, many citizens from both sides are united waiting for nothing else but Machar’s arrival.
Despite restrictions from national security and police services discouraging a public welcoming reception of Machar upon his arrival, many supporters matched to the airport on the muddy roads on April 18 only to realized that Machar’s scheduled arrival has been postponed for logistical reasons.
While some supporters initially refused to returned home, opting to sleep in the airport until the former Vice President returns, a group of yet to be identified individuals went around Juba town at night and removed the main posters featuring Machar with the slogan “through peace let’s build South Sudan”

The late night removal of posters featuring Machar has created another confusion and suspicions among the supporters of the two camps.
Although the SPLM/SPLA-IO condemns the anti-peace activities, William Ezekiel, a former Minister in Kiir government, who is now a spokesman of SPLM/A-IO advance team said the opposition will not be destructed by such activities from pursuing the peace agreement.
On social media, a graphic of Riek Machar alongside Jesus of Nazareth is also doing rounds asking who will come first between Machar and Jesus, a question many exhausted journalists at the airport would wish to answer.
Seated since morning, correspondents of both local and international media groups are exhaustively waiting for the return of Dr. Riek Machar Teny.
At almost 1pm, however, Machar’s arrival is not yet in sight. So far only the Chief of General Staff of SPLA-IO, 1st. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual, is believe to have left Gambella and may arrive in Juba before 3pm.
While Riek and his Chief of army are expected to come with over 400 officials and body guards, Machar’s inauguration ceremony is expected to be completed on the day of his arrival.
