Equatorians in Calgary Declared Their Loyalty to SPLA/M in Opposition!

March 24, 2014(Calgary, Canada) — On behalf of SPLM in Opposition Canada, first I want to salute our leadership and freedom fighters for their victories against the genocidal regime forces of terrorist President Salva Kiir Mayardit. Congratulations to you our freedom fighters and our Chairman and Commander in Chief Comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

I would like to inform the general public that on March 15, 2013, I met with Equatorians living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and briefed them on the objectives of the SPLM/A in Opposition and general situation in the liberated areas of New Republic of South Sudan and the genocide committed by Salva Kiir on Nuer tribe and continue massacres by President Salva Kiir and its Cabinet on innocent women, children, infants, people with disabilities and the sick across Juba and other states targeting Nuer and other tribes opposing his dictatorial and corrupt regime.

After eight hours of briefing May 15-16, 2014 and answering questions from these Equatorians leaders and intellectuals. The whole groups of Equatorians were convinced with the objectives of the movement SPLM/A in Opposition and immediately all of them joined and declared their loyalty to the SPLM in Opposition and its leadership under our Chairman and Commander in Chief Dr.Riek Machar.

The Equatorians intellectuals and leaders condemned the atrocities committed by President Salva Kiir and vowed their support to the movement to bring President Salva Kiir to ICC and those who committed atrocities against the Nuer tribe in Juba to justice and informed the SPLM/A in Opposition leadership that no power sharing with President Salva and his criminals.

The second meeting was held with some Otuho tribe members of South Sudan, which lasted four hours. SPLM/A in Opposition Representative briefed them on the movement objectives and questions were posted and answered by SPLM/A in Opposition. At the end of the meeting the entire group that attended joined the SPLM/A in Opposition and declared their allegiance to the SPLM/A in Opposition objectives and leadership.

The Otuho members saluted and congratulated the freedom fighters for their victories and commitment to free the people of South Sudan from dictator President Salva Kiir, the intellectuals vowed to mobilize their people for the liberation of Equatoria three states and the country in general.

SPLM/A in Opposition Representative in Canada briefed the leadership on this development and the movement leadership welcomed the Equatorians leaders and intellectuals that included the Equatorians Chairman in Calgary, Alberta Comrade Stephen Tombe.

This is a great victory against the Equatorians puppets in Salva Kiir genocide team like Vice President James Wani Igga. Again I salute our Equatorians for their historic and wise decision to join their fellow freedom fighters in liberating South Sudan.

Struggle continues and victory is certain.
