July 28, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Mabior Garang de Mabior, the youngest minister of South Sudan’s Transitional Government of National Unity, fears that certain elements within the main rival factions want to scrap the Peace Agreement to escape justice and accountability.

“Thre are elements in the IO and in the IG who want to abrogate the ARCISS in order to escape transitional justice and accountability.” Said Mabior, the son of SPLM/SPLA founder.

The Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Mabior, believes that a coup has been carried out by disgruntled elements of SPLM/SPLA-IO under the guardian of the country’s President, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit.

“It is becoming more and more evident that a coup has taken place; the TGONU has been overthrown by elements in IO and facilitated by elements in the IG.” Mabior said.

Mabior, a prime target by members of his community and government supporters for defecting to SPLM/SPLA[IO], went into hiding more than 2 weeks ago after their troops tactically withdrawn from the capital.

He said the current events in the country risk losing economic reforms and may lead the poor land-lock South Sudan into economic abyss.

“These elements are also resisting economic reforms, which would arrest the free fall of our economy.” Mabior said.

South Sudan’s economy has been free-falling since the outbreak of conflict in 2013 but things gotten even worst after a week-long fighting within the capital city, Juba.

Many humanitarian assistance groups, foreign diplomats, oil field workers and other non-emergency staffs of many embassies have been evacuated from South Sudan. Kenya and Uganda, which are the background of South Sudan’s economy, have also evacuated their citizens from Juba

Kenya and Uganda, which are the background of South Sudan’s economy, have also evacuated their citizens from Juba as fear of more fighting continues to engulf the young nation.

According to economists, South Sudan’s’ inflation rate has skyrocketed to over 300%, leaving many basic goods unaffordable in the country.

The young minister, however, fails to understand why Salva Kiir’s government still invests over 60% of the country’s budget in war and not peace and economy.

Wondering of where the money goes, Mabior believes that even the soldiers, who are fighting the war, are not paid their dues.

“The Government allocates over 60% of the National Budget to security sector; while at the same time soldiers are not paid nor fed. Where does this money go, or who does it go to?” Mabior

Only small-minded people call Mabior Garang a traitor because they have no clues what John Garang was fighting for and his visions for Southerners not for some greedy Dinkas intellectuals who do care for families only

Young and wise like his late father john Garang R.I.P “I wish to fill in the gaps which have so far always remained unanswered in the souls of men as burning questions, and which never leave any serious thinker in peace, if he honestly seeks the Truth.”Kiir will be captured and brought before the perfect court of justice.that is South Sudanese people’s court.God please be with us at this trying moment …..
