Ethiopian Community Pays Machar a Courtesy Call At His Residence

June 26, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Following weeks of visits by the South Sudanese communities, the Ethiopian community in South Sudan capital paid their courtesy call to Dr. Riek Machar Teny, the  First Vice Preisdent, yesterday.

The community, which came mostly from the Protection Camps in Juba, visited Dr. Machar at his new residence at Jebel Kurjur on June 25, 2016.

According to James Gatdet Dak, the Press Secretary to FVP, the Ethiopian community congratulates the First Vice President for his commitment to Agreement of Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan(ARCISS).

“Ethiopian community members in Juba, some from the PoC camp, visited the First Vice President, His Excellency, Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, on Saturday, June 25, 2016.” Dak said.

“They congratulated him on the August 2015 peace agreement and on taking up the position as the country’s First Vice President.” He continued.

The Ethiopian community also congratulates Dr. Machar on his vision to reform the country and his determination to restore peace, stability and prosperity of South Sudan.

Like other foreigners in the country, Ethiopian community has incurred casualties in the conflict especially in Bor, the capital of Jonglei state, and also in Juba where Ethiopians and Eritreans were equally targeted by South Sudanese soldiers.

The visit of Ethiopians in South Sudan followed numerious visits from South Sudanese communities who congratulates Dr. Machar on for his commitment to steer the nation forwards.

Although little remains to seen, South Sudan is still in war. Sporadic fighting continued in Salva Kiir’s home region of Bhar el Ghazal where many civilians have fled the conflict to UNMISS protections sites or to neighboring countries.

this is nonsense, what can this nuer and poor ethiopians help south sudan. I do not understand why these ethiopians stay in the IDP camps. Are they waiting the money from the donars so that they help in stealing the dollars. South sudanese need to love themselves rather loving foreigers………………stupid idea

I am sorry about them,when they cross very very dangerous Sea to Western Europe. Most of them are teenagers,they are here without jobs and education itself in western Europe is a nightmare. There is nothing in the EU.
