Speaking to a delegation that was sent by president Kiir to Khartoum to meet them, the Kitgwang leaders said they have accepted to dialogue with government of South Sudan under the patronage of Sudanese Transitional Government in Khartoum.

Addressing the peace conference shared by a Sudanese military General, Hassan Bilal on Saturday in Khartoum, Gen. Olony said they are not in the jungle with bad faith but to demand their rights as citizens of South Sudan.

“We are not in the bush to kill South Sudanese, we are in the bush because we needs our rights”, Gen. Olony said during the peace conference in Sudanese capital, Khartoum on Saturday.

The senior opposition commander stressed that people can engage at wars but eventually they resort to peace through negotiations.

He admitted that negotiation is the roadmap to peaceful settlement.

“People can fight but after all, they go for peace, nothing can happen alone it starts with negotiations first, if negotiations failed people go to war and after all people come back to negotiations”, Gen. Olony added.

Last month Gen Johnson Olony said they were not fighting for a regime change since none of them is aspiring to become the president but said they are demanding rights to full implementation of the security arrangements to guarantee their safety and safety of other dissenting voices who had opposed the regime.

Although the two senior gentlemen have been bold and adamant in the last two years, they seem to have loosen the knots and soften their demands to show compromises; however, it is yet to be seen if their opponents are willing to return their good gestures or they will try to force them to surrender like their predecessors.
