Unity state Ministry of Education to open Mobile schools in cattle camps.

January 22, 2022 — Unity State Ministry of Education has announced the idea of opening schools in cattle camps and other areas that are hosting flood victims in Unity State.

Speaking to Nyamilepedia this morning, one of the state officials working in the ministry said the mobile schools will be made mainly for those staying in cattle camps and those displaced from their residents by floods across the state so that they acquire education.

“Unity state Ministry of Education has announced plans to open mobile schools in the cattle camp and displaced people camps in many areas in Unity state”, a senior State official, who concealed his identity because not authorized to speak to media told Nyamilepedia editorial member from Bentiu this morning.

He said the planned schools are mainly intended for thousands of displaced people and kids who have no access to education in cattle camps.

“The mobile schools will target thousands of children in the cattle camp and displaced camps”,he added.

Unity state Minister for General Education, Stephen Tot Chieng, says the mobile schools would help children to continue with their studies.

Minister Tot is appealing to the education partners to support the initiative.

According to UN reports, at least 50% of the children in flood affected states have dropped out of schools.
