Suspected Murle raiders abducts 13 children, 2 women in Bieh state killing 2

January 22nd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – At least 13 children and 2 women have been abducted in South Sudan’s Bieh state after a car travelling to Duach Chan from Akobo came under an attacked from suspected Murle raiders, sources have told the Nyamilepedia this morning.

The incident, one source said, occurred on Saturday and resulted into the abduction of the thirteen children and two women adding that the driver was killed in the process along two others.

“13 children and two women were abducted yesterday. Two people one of them is the driver were killed,” the source told the Nyamilepedia from Akobo.

For his part, the Bieh state minister of information, Johnson Simon, told the Eye Radio this morning that only 13 children were kidnapped and four men were killed in the incident.

“In that vehicle, there were children and the armed youth have abducted 13 of them, and killed 4 men,” he said.
